Ms.
Salame’s experience as a management consultant in a leading
global consultancy has included change management assignments with
some of the world’s top corporations. Ms. Salame acquired
first-hand knowledge of how companies function internally, and where
they can go wrong in managing their workforce, particularly when
they implement changes within the organisation. She became aware
of the key issues that corporations need to address internally in
order to assert leadership externally and to maintain a key position
in the market. Ms. Salame states: "I am absolutely convinced
that the success of a business begins and ends with its people.
Unfortunately, companies all over the world tend to underestimate
the people factor and end up paying a high price. Many companies
are still unwilling to recognise the undeniable link between human
resources issues and bottom line results, yet the neglect of those
issues can have a detrimental effect on the performance of organisations,
regardless of which industry they are in."
Rita Salame holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics & International
Relations from the London School of Economics (LSE), and a Master
of Science in Economic History, also from the LSE. She is fluent
in four languages.
